Education News: June 16-22, 2012
This week we have a new feature on our blog called, AMSD Spotlight. Our first post is an interview with Representative Mindy Greiling. Rep. Greiling talks about her favorite legislator to work with, the biggest change she experienced during her tenure as a legislator and what she most looks forward to in retirement.
Also this week, the New York Times reported on a Government Accountability Office analysis of Department of Education data showing that charter schools are continuing to enroll fewer students with disabilities than public schools. According to the data, disabled students represent 8.2% of charter enrolled students compared to 11.2% of public school enrolled students.
