Supreme Court Rules for Franken

As you have no doubt heard by now, the Minnesota Supreme Court issued its ruling yesterday on the U.S. Senate election contest ruling in favor of Al Franken.  Sen. Norm Coleman has conceded the race and Senator-Elect Franken will be sworn in next week.  I am attaching a copy of the ruling for those of you who are “political junkies.”

Charter School Study

Below is a link to a study of charter school performance in 16 states including Minnesota.  The study was completed by the Center for Research on Education Outcomes at Stanford University.  According to the study, Minnesota was one of six states where average charter school student growth was lower than student peer growth in traditional public schools.
