Race to the Top Regional Meetings
The first of three metropolitan regional meetings on the Race to the Top initiative was held in the TIES Building yesterday and was very well attended. Two more meetings are scheduled for next Wednesday and Thursday in the TIES Building. I am attaching the updated memo from Commissioner Seagren about the RTTT meetings which include the email address to register to attend the meetings.
Superintendent Helmstetter Open House
AMSD Board Members are invited to attend a retirement open house for retiring Spring Lake Park Superintendent Don Helmstetter. (see attached flyer) I know I speak for AMSD board members in wishing Don well in his retirement and thanking him for him many contributions to AMSD and to public education in Minnesota.
Legislative Session Preview
I am attaching a flyer with the details of AMSD’s Annual Legislative Session Preview scheduled for Friday, January 8, 2010 from 8 – 10 a.m. in the Grand Hall of the TIES Building. I am also attaching a copy of a letter we sent to each legislator representing one of our member districts inviting him/her to attend. Please follow up with a personal invitation to your local legislators asking them to join you for this important event.
