Association of Metropolitan School Districts Update

This is to alert you to a couple of committee hearings of interest over the next few days.  

SF 3125 sponsored by Sen Tom Saxhaug will be heard tomorrow morning in the Senate E-12 Finance Committee.  This bill would provide a 2% increase to the basic formula and fully fund the state special education formula.  The committee will also hear a presentation of the Minnesota Promise report.

The Senate Commerce Committee has scheduled a hearing on SF 2747 for this Thursday at 12:30.  This is the bill advocated by Education Minnesota that would create a mandatory statewide health insurance pool for school district employees.
